The examination authority has released the official answer key for NEET 2019 on 29th May. The NTA NEET 2019 answer key has been released for all sets of question paper code. Along with the official answer key, candidates can also download their OMR response sheets from the official website using their Application Number and Date of Birth.

NEET 2019 results were based on three factors – percentile score, raw score and NEET 2019 All India Rank. When checking your NEET OMR Sheet 2019, you must add 4 points for every correct answer that matches with the Answer Key and 1 negative point for each incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for unanswered questions but if multiple answers are chosen, the candidate will get a negative mark for that question.

It is on the basis of this percentile score that the NTA prepared the 15% All India merit list for NEET 2019. Students who scored more than the cut off percentile and opted for the all India quota are included in this list. The Directorate General of Health Services then took this list and handed it over to the Medical Counseling Committee for beginning the NEET counseling.
The exam was conducted for a total of 180 questions carrying four marks each. Candidates get four marks for each correct answer and for each incorrect response, one mark gets deducted.

As a candidate, you are given the scope to challenge solutions given in the NEET Answer Key. A total number of 15, 19,375 candidates appeared for the NEET 2019 which took place on May 5th. The NTA only accepts online objections. Here is how to do it:

Step 7 | Once you have marked all the questions that you want to challenge, click on “Submit” and then on “Final Submit”. |
Step 8 | Make a payment of Rs. 1000 per question you challenged. You can use Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking to make the payment. |

Note that the amount you pay for challenging the answer key will be refunded if your objections are found valid.
Cut off is the minimum score a candidate needs to obtain for qualifying in a particular exam. Thus, candidates who wish to take admission to a college for pursuing their medical dreams must achieve this score. Following are the percentile scores for NEET 2019:
Counseling for the successful candidates was conducted in June 2019 for admission to BDS and MBBS programs across the nation. Online counseling began from 19th June 2019. The Director General of Health Services conducts this counseling on behalf of the Medical Counseling Committee. Registration for Round II of counseling began on July 11th. Candidates who didn’t succeed in Round I will get a chance in the second and the seat left vacant after the first round of counseling will also be filled after the second round of counseling respectively.
